BCI, a home video distribution unit of Navarre Corp., Dec. 18 announced a five-year North American TV DVD publishing deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises, the European-based commercial arm of FremantleMedia.

BCI Nov. 21 released its first Fremantle title The Best of Match Game, a four DVD box set for $34.98.

FremantleMedia is the production company behind the popular “American Idol” TV show and features a library of American, British and Australian episodic programming, including “The Price Is Right,” “Family Feud,” “The IT Crowd,” “Neighbours,” “Prehistoric Park” and “The Bill.”

“BCI is thrilled to expand our relationship with FremantleMedia to release popular British, Australian and American programming on DVD,” said Ed Goetz, president of BCI. “With the explosion of TV on DVD coupled with the demand for European content, we are confident the home video market will be ready for this outstanding lineup of classic and current programs from around the world.”

BCI will announce future Fremantle releases at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Jan. 15-17 in Las Vegas.
