Battle of the 'Loser' Workouts

Several titles are hitting the market to help consumers win the battle of the holiday bulge with programs inspired by the hit NBC reality show “The Biggest Loser.”

Both Lions Gate Home Entertainment and Genius Products are promoting titles featuring the fitness professionals who help contestants on the show shed hundreds of pounds and change their lives.

Lions Gate Dec. 20 releases The Biggest Loser — The Workout Vol. 1 ($14.98), which features trainer Bob Harper and six contestants from seasons one and two of “The Biggest Loser.” The workouts are designed for all fitness levels, and the cast offers support and encouragement.

Genius has several products arriving in time for the hot fitness retail season from hardcore “Biggest Loser” trainer Jillian Michaels. Streeting Dec. 20 is The Biggest Winner — How to Win by Losing: Shape Up Complete ($22.98), a two-disc set including Michaels' “Front” and “Backside” cardio plus toning workouts.

Also arriving is The Biggest Winner — How to Win by Losing: Maximize Complete ($22.98), another double-disc set that includes the “Full Frontal” and “Back in Action” workouts.

The single-disc The Biggest Winner — How to Win by Losing: Cardio Kick Box ($16.99) streets the same day and comes with a nutrition outline for optimum weight loss.
