Baker & Taylor CEO Resigns

Richard Willis has resigned as CEO and chairman of distributor Baker & Taylor and board member Jack Eugster has been appointed as chairman, the company announced. Arnie Wight will continue to serve as the company's senior operating officer.

“Mr. Willis has added significant value to Baker & Taylor over the years. He has shepherded the company through a tremendous period of growth. We thank him and wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Gary Appel, vice chairman of Castle Harlan, which owns a controlling interest in Baker & Taylor.

Eugster was chairman, CEO and president of Musicland Stores from 1980 to 2001, and from 2001-2005 he was chairman of discount chain Shopko Stores.
