AVN Expo Attendance Up From Last Year

It's good news all around for Adult Video News Expo held Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas.

Attendance was up to 30,000 fans and trade combined for the three-day show, exhibit space sold out and there was positive reaction to the first-ever GayVN show-within-a-show concept.

More than 17,000 fans attended the show, up over the previous year, which is of special note considering fans for the first time were barred from the first day's trade-only status, said AVN spokesperson Carrie Dieterich of the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA).

This year's AVN Expo also drew more than 13,000 adult industry professionals, and exhibit sales broke the 300-company mark, up over the 252 exhibitors that participated in the 2004 event.

The show is produced in partnership with Adult Video News and Home Entertainment Events, which is owned by Advanstar Communications, parent company of Home Media Retailing.
