Allan Singer has been promoted to AT&T Broadband's SVP of Programming and president of Satellite Services, Inc. (SSI), the AT&T subsidiary that manages the acquisition of video programming services. Singer will report to COO Ron Cooper.
In the new roles, Singer is responsible for negotiating and administrating distribution agreements with cable television networks, broadcast stations, mvoie studios, sports teams and leagues and other providers of video product to AT&T Broadband. As the President of SSI, he leads the largest content acquirer of video programming in North America. Singer also assists in the implementation of programming initiatives.
"Allan has been a key member of the AT&T Broadband programming team for the past several years, and his keen sense of our business, coupled with strong relationships in the programming community, make him the perfect person for this role in such a dynamic time,'' said Cooper.
Singer was previously VP of Programming. Prior to joining TCI in 1996, Singer worked as a partner in the Denver law firm of White and Steele, P.C. Before that, Singer clerked for Chief Judge David Enoch of the Court of Appeals following his graduation from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1984.
