Arts Alliance America Catches 'Run Granny Run'15 Aug, 2007 By: Chris Tribbey
Arts Alliance America, formerly Hart Sharp Video, and HBO have acquired the rights to Marlo Poras' documentary Run Granny Run, which looks at the political meddling of a 90-something grandmother who walked across America for campaign finance reform, and ran against an incumbent Republican for a U.S. Senate seat.
The film will premiere on HBO on Oct. 18, and will be released on DVD “closely tied to the election,” according to a press release.
“I got involved in this project because of my love for Granny D,” said Joe Amodei, Arts Alliance America president. “She stands for everything this country is all about.”
