Apple Looking to Give iPod, iPhone Owners Unlimited Music19 Mar, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey
A la carte music on Apple's iTunes may be a thing of the past for iPhone and iPod owners.
The Financial Times of London reported March 19 that Apple was currently negotiating with record companies to give Apple mp33 player owners free access to the entire music library on iTunes for a one-time extra fee for the devices. The newspaper did not report how much extra people would have to pay for iPhones and iPods, and Apple declined to comment.
Citing unnamed music industry sources, The Times reported an unlimited music option would be included on iPods and iPhones, while a monthly subscription option would be made available to iPhone users.
