Andersen Gets VSDA Contract Extension7 Apr, 2005 By: Jessica Wolf
The Video Software Dealers Association has extended Bo Andersen's contract as president for another three years.
“The board is thrilled that we will continue to have the benefit of Bo's strategic vision and his ability to translate our goals to concrete action,” said VSDA board chairman Bob Geistman.
“Since becoming president of VSDA in 1999, Bo has strengthened VSDA by expanding the Association's reach into all sectors of the home video industry while supporting our historic base in the independent video retailer segment. He has also directed the revitalization of our convention and focused resources on core competencies such as legislative and legal advocacy.”
“I'm lucky to be given this opportunity by the board,” said Andersen. “And I am fortunate to work with a talented, strong and strategic-thinking board and the best staff I could hope for.”
Andersen joined the VSDA in 1995 as VP and general counsel, and became SVP and general council two years later.
Before joining the VSDA, Andersen served as the anti-piracy legal director for the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
