Anchor Bay Sets Up 'Massacre' Contest

10 Jun, 2008 By: Billy Gil

Anchor Bay Entertainment has set up a contest in which fans can create trailers of movies by fictional filmmaker Harry Penderecki, in conjunction with Anchor Bay's July 22 DVD release of the horror farce Brutal Massacre: A Comedy.

Brutal Massacre is a mockumentary-style comedy about washed-up horror director Penderecki, responsible for such pictures as Sasquatch at the Mall, The Fish Who Ate Flesh, Bowel Movement, and Garbage Man. Fans can upload trailers of these films at youtube.com/group/brutalmassacre.

Eligible videos will consist of a scene or trailer for one of the films, between 45 seconds and three minutes long, and ending with the provided title card at www.starzmediadigital.com/brutal/720x480.jpg. The grand prize is $1,000, and the winning video may be added as a special feature to another upcoming Anchor Bay DVD; a runner-up will receive a 10-pack of horror DVDs from Anchor Bay. The contest ends July 15.
