Adult Entertainment Expo Attendance Up 5 Percent

With more than 350 exhibitors occupying nearly 300,000 square feet of showroom space, the 2006 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, Jan. 4 to 8 in Las Vegas, saw a 5 percent increase in trade, talent, press and fan traffic, according to organizers.

The AVN show is produced by Home Entertainment Events, a unit of Questex Media, publisher of Home Media Retailing magazine.

The 2006 show at the Sands Expo Center featured an expanded B2B Marketplace, G-spot Fan/Trade section and GayVN area.

Organizers suspected a record confab when more than 1,500 people attended the sold-out first -ever opening night party at the Body English nightclub at the hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

“From our perspective, the party was a success,” said Greg Alves with Zero Tolerance Entertainment. “It afforded us the opportunity to entertain our clients in an entertaining and relaxed environment.

The 2007 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will take place Jan. 10 to 13 (Wednesday to Saturday) at the Sands Expo Center.
