SAN DIEGO — With 300 debuting on home video (DVD, Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD) last week, fans might be surprised to hear the graphic-novel-turned-action-movie-epic may see a new home video release in the foreseeable future.

At a Comic-Con International panel, Deborah Snyder, wife of 300 director Zack Snyder and an executive producer of the film, revealed that an in-movie experience feature for the Blu-ray Disc of 300 wasn't yet ready for the release.

Later, at the 300 DVD release party, held July 28 at Petco Park in San Diego, she went further by saying: “I think there's going to be another Blu-ray special edition later on.”

While neither Zack Snyder nor his wife gave any concrete details on additional DVD or high-definition releases for 300, he did offer some thoughts on the DVD of Watchmen, which is based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and is slated to release theatrically in 2008.

“We're hoping for a huge extra bit,” he said. “We're into the Peter Jackson style … to be able to do something that's like another movie … like a whole storyline that's not in the movie.”
