Analyst: $830 Million in U.S. Rental Kiosk Spending in 2009

NPD: Kiosks to Make Up 30% of U.S. Rental Market by 2010

Video rental kiosks, including Redbox, are experiencing more growth than either traditional stores or subscription rental and are on track to make up 30% of the U.S. rental market in 2010, according to the NPD Group.

There was a lot of love in the home entertainment business last week. Paramount Home Entertainment’s DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of the DreamWorks buddy comedy I Love You, Man debuted in the top slot on all three charts the week ended Aug. 16.



Game Sales Drop 29% in July

Video game sales fell 29% in July compared to the same month last year, from $1.19 billion in July 2008 to $848.9 million last month, according to The NPD Group.
