Welcome to Home Media Magazine’s second annual salute to the women of home entertainment. This year we decided on a more inclusive approach than last year. Once again, we singled out the top executives, but this year we also are honoring some of the up-and-comers — a decision we came to after perusing the VP rosters of the major studios and realizing there’s a lot of unrecognized talent out there. We’ve arranged this year’s Women in Home Entertainment section differently, as well. We begin with the top executives, EVP and up. Then we move to studio-by-studio listings of SVPs and VPs, followed by the top women executives on the independent and retail sides of the business. The result, we hope, is a fitting tribute to the women in our business as well as a show of force about how prominent women are in our industry.
