Netflix Streams ‘The Wonder Years’

All 115 episodes from the six seasons of “The Wonder Years” were made available to Netflix streaming users Oct. 3, giving fans of the series access to episodes of a popular series that never have been seen on DVD.

Two best-of collections of the series were released on DVD in 1999, but they did not include the original music from the 1988-1993 aired episodes and no longer are in print.

“Amid all the great shows and new seasons that launched on Netflix in the last couple of days, there was one I was so excited about that I felt compelled to share it with anyone who would listen,” Heather McCauley, senior counsel of content acquisition for Netflix, wrote in a blog post. “As much as I enjoyed the teenage angst of the Kevin and Winnie romance as it unfolded when I was in middle school and high school, I am loving it so much more today as I share it with my seventh-grade daughter.”

The comedy-drama series took home more than 20 awards before it went off the air.
