Looking just a few years out, research firm Research and Markets is pegging the worldwide TV and video hardware market to be worth $213.9 billion, a staggering increase of 24.4% from 2008.
Today that market is worth $171.9 billion, a jump of 8% from 2008. The Americas account for 37.2% of worldwide revenue, and TV sales lead the revenue share with 77.4% of the market's overall value.
Research and Markets data combines sales of TV displays, VCR, DVD and Blu-ray Disc hardware, camcorders, video cameras, and set top boxes.
