First ‘Thomas’ CG-Animated Movie Earns Parents’ Award9 Nov, 2009 By: Chris Tribbey
Lionsgate and Hit Entertainment’s Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails, the first-ever all-CGI film from the young children’s franchise, has earned the Parents’ Choice Silver Award, the nonprofit group said Nov. 9.
“Thomas the Tank Engine tales are always shiny, sweet and compelling, a teacher of social lessons,” the group said in announcing the selection.
Currently on DVD (60 minutes, $19.98) Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails is also the first Thomas title where each of the train characters has its own individual voice, as opposed to a narrator voicing all the characters’ lines.
Bonus features on the DVD include three games.
