NCircle Gets Digital Distribution on Ruckus

Episodes from six NCircle Entertainment children’s properties will be available as commercial-free downloads on Ruckus Media Group’s Apple-based mobile application beginning in late 2012, the companies announced.

The agreement covers episodes of “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!,” “Sid the Science Kid,” “Pajanimals,” “The Wiggles,” “Dino Dan” and “Busytown Mysteries.”

“NCircle Entertainment is a proven leader in quality, parent-trusted children’s video, [and] this partnership allows Ruckus to continue to expand and diversify our offering for kids and families,” said Rick Richter, CEO Ruckus Media Group. “Our goal is to provide a single-stop destination for children’s digital content and offer parents a safe, curated experience for their kids. We anticipate announcing other such partnerships in the near future.”

Ruckus currently offers digital storybooks for properties including Crayola, My Little Pony, Transformers and VeggieTales, but will expand into digital video with the next iteration of its application.
