LeapFrog to Digitally Distribute Hasbro Content

Educational entertainment company LeapFrog Enterprises will digitally distribute Hasbro Studios animated TV programming beginning this month, the companies announced.

Episodes from “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic,” “The Adventures of Chuck and Friends” and “Pound Puppies” will be available via LeapFrog’s application center, with two episodes for $5 to $10. The episodes work with the LeapFrog’s Explorer ($99.99, for children ages 4-9) and Leapster Explorer (MSRP $69.99, for children ages 4-9) platforms.

“In considering potential content, we sought out brands that would complement our mission to engage children of all ages,” said Jill Waller, VP at LeapFrog. “Our teams worked together to select content that is age appropriate and will provide kids with hours of fun on our platforms.”

Mark Blecher, SVP of digital media and gaming at Hasbro, added: “We’re thrilled that kids and families have a new way to engage with the innovative programming inspired by our rich portfolio of beloved brands, such as ‘My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.’”
