Sony Sets ‘Zombieland’ For Feb. 27 Dec, 2009 By: Chris Tribbey
On Feb. 2, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will make it easier for everyone to remember the rules of surviving zombies: do cardio, use seatbelts and always be sure to double-tap.
Zombieland landed $75 million at the domestic box office and earned both critical and popular praise. Sony follows up with the DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases, packing a commentary with Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg, director Ruben Fleischer and writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese; several making-of featurettes, including “In Search of Zombieland,” a series of visual effects progression and deleted scenes; and trailers.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is Sony’s unique movieIQ feature and a picture-in-picture commentary track, dubbed “Beneath the Graveyard,” which allows viewers to access behind-the-scenes footage, storyboards and animatics.
List price for the DVD is $19.95, with the Blu-ray set at $26.95. A UMD for the PlayStation Portable also will be available. Order date is Dec. 31.
