Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is cooking up a feast of extras for the Dec. 8 (order date Nov. 5) home video release of the culinary comedy Julie & Julia.
Both the DVD ($28.96) and Blu-ray ($39.95) of the film will include commentary with writer-director Nora Ephron and the behind-the-scenes featurette “Secret Ingredients: Creating Julie & Julia.”
Exclusive Blu-ray extras include the featurette “Family & Friends Remember Julia Child,” in which Child is remembered by those who knew her best; “Julia’s Kitchen,” a tour of Child’s kitchen at the Smithsonian; cooking lessons from master chefs; and movieIQ, which allows viewers to access recipes mentioned in the film.
Julie & Julia stars Meryl Streep as Julia Child learning the art of French cooking, and Amy Adams as a modern blogger attempting to emulate Child by making all the recipes in her cookbook in one year. It grossed $91 million at the domestic box office.
