Apple’s iTunes store has launched in nearly a dozen Asian countries, giving consumers there access to content from Fox, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Disney and Warner Bros.
iTunes officially launched June 26 in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. The Asian iTunes will feature a focus on local artists and content, but also offer access to international content.
The iTunes in Asian countries will include more than 20 million songs and more than 650,000 applications.
