Facebook Adds iTunes to Gifts Feature26 Nov, 2012 By: Chris Tribbey
Facebook Nov. 26 added games, movies, apps and albums from iTunes to its Facebook Gifts feature, with digital gifts running $10, $15, $25 or $50.
Apple’s iTunes joins Hulu Plus and Pandora, among other media offerings available on Facebook Gifts. Earlier in November, Facebook added several other new retail partners, including babyGap, Fab, Brookstone, Dean & Deluca, L'Occitane, Lindt, ProFlowers, Random House Inc. and NARS Cosmetics.
Facebook unveiled the feature in late September, allowing users to send friends real gifts over the site, with a “gift” option appearing during birthdays.
“Gifts will continue to add more retail partners and roll out to more people over the coming weeks,” Facebook announced in a blog post.
