Apple Said to Be Making iPhone 5 With Larger Screen

16 May, 2012 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Apple reportedly is readying the iPhone 5 with a 4-inch display — common on most competitor smartphones, including Android-based handsets manufactured by rival Samsung.

The screen, which will be half-an-inch bigger than current iPhone models, is set to go into production beginning in June, according to The Wall Street Journal, which cited anonymous sources.

Noteworthy is that the iPhone 5 is expected to use Apple’s 3D mapping technology instead of Google Maps.
