Sony: PlayStation 4 Sales Pass 2.1 Million3 Dec, 2013 By: Chris Tribbey
Sony Computer Entertainment Dec. 3 announced it’s sold more than 2.1 million PlayStation 4s worldwide since its Nov. 15 launch.
The numbers include the 1 million-plus the company moved on the first day, as well as those consoles sold in Europe and Latin America. PS4s will soon be available in 32 countries overall.
“It’s an impressive and record-setting accomplishment for our company and for our industry, and we couldn’t have done it without you,” Andrew House, president and group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, wrote in a blog post. “I want to personally thank PlayStation fans, both old and new, for your vote of confidence. The best part: The PS4 journey has just begun.”
