The Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), a studio-backed, independent copyright licensing agency, has named Peter “P.J.” Kuyper its new CEO. Kuyper was already serving as president of the organization.
Kuyper has been with the company for 10 years.
“I am honored to assume the position of CEO and president of MPLC,” Kuyper said. “With the proliferation of technology comes increased demand for entertainment and use of films in business settings, making our role more important than ever. I look forward to continuing our work of helping organizations use films for work and play.”
MPLC represents more than 400 studios and independent, special-interest and foreign producers, and licenses businesses to legally use copyrighted content.
