Film Chest Acquires Cinematic Titanic VOD Rights

25 Jul, 2012 By: Chris Tribbey

Independent distributor Film Chest has acquired VOD and streaming rights to 10 films from the creator and cast of “Mystery Science Theater 3000.”

Much like the original Comedy Central series, the “Cinematic Titanic” films have the same team riffing on classic (and classically awful) ‘B’- and ‘C’-genre movies with the cast silhouetted in front of the movie screen.

Film Chest will debut the films on its dedicated American Pop Classics channel on Hulu and Hulu Plus.

“We are cult film enthusiasts and personal fans of ‘MST3K’ and ‘Cinematic Titanic,’” said Phil Hopkins and Ralph Stevens, co-owners of Film Chest. “We are extremely excited to add these 10 feature-length titles to our American Pop Classics label and to offer them to a new generation of fans on Hulu and Hulu Plus.”

The 10 films include: Alien Factor, Blood of the Vampires, Danger on Tiki Island, Doomsday Machine, East Meets Watts, Frankenstein’s Castle of Freaks, Legacy of Blood, The Oozing Skull, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and The Wasp Woman.
