eOne Home Entertainment Boss Michael Rosenberg Departing25 Sep, 2013 By: Erik Gruenwedel
Entertainment One (eOne) Sept. 25 said Michael Rosenberg, president of eOne Films U.S., is leaving the company to pursue other interests, effective Oct. 31.
Rosenberg joined eOne in 2005 when it acquired Koch Entertainment, where he was president and held other positions for more than 20 years. At eOne, Rosenberg was responsible for the domestic home entertainment division under David Reckziegel, president of eOne Films North America. He also held responsibilities with the group’s music distribution business under Michael Koch, CEO of eOne U.S.
“After 26 years with Koch and eOne, it’s now time for me to take on other challenges,” Rosenberg said in a statement. “I am very proud of our team in the U.S. and the business we’ve built together, and I’ve really enjoyed my time as part of eOne. I leave the company in good hands and look forward to opening a new chapter in my life.”
Reckziegel credited Rosenberg with building eOne’s home video and digital businesses.
“We want to thank Michael for his many contributions over the years and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” Reckziegel said.
eOne said it plans to announce further updates to its U.S. leadership structure in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, Dylan Wiley will continue to lead the company’s domestic theatrical film marketing and sales activities, reporting to Reckziegel.
