EMA Event to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA) will hold a conference July 16 to 18 with the intent of bringing together the home video and gaming industries, both physical and digital.

The Los Angeles Entertainment Summit will be held at the W Hotel in Hollywood, Calif., and proceeds from the invitation-only conference will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“Bringing together the motion picture studios, leading video game publishers, and key physical and digital retailers and distributors of both home video and video games for one industry conference makes this event truly unique,” said Bo Andersen, president and CEO of EMA. “Many content producers and retailers participate in both the physical and digital channels of video and video games, and the Los Angeles Entertainment Summit is the one event that provides them with the business-to-business meetings and networking for all these product categories.”

Participating companies include Activision/Blizzard, Alliance Entertainment, Amazon, Anderson Merchandisers, Best Buy, Blockbuster, COKeM, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Disney Interactive, DreamWorks Home Entertainment, GameStop, Google, HBO, Ingram, Lionsgate, Netflix, Paramount Home Entertainment, Redbox, Rentrak, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Target, Toys “R” Us, Trans World Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, Ubisoft, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Walmart and Warner Home Entertainment.

The conference will include golf and poker tournaments, as well as live and silent auctions.
