Online TV video site Hulu had its best month ever in October, with nearly 856 million views by Americans, according to online tracking service comScore.
Still, while Hulu benefited from the new fall TV season, YouTube continued to outpace all other online video sites, accounting for 99% of the 10.5 billion video views on Google-owned sites. Google sites accounted for 38% of all online video views during the month. Hulu came in second place behind Google sites.
Microsoft (451 million), Fox Interactive Media (446 million) and Viacom Digital (407 million) rounded out the top five.
Visitors to Google-owned sites watched an average of 83.5 videos each, compared to an average of 20.1 each for Hulu visitors.
