Vizio Launches Blu-ray Player, Sound Equipment

Vizio isn’t just about HDTVs anymore.

The No. 1 flat-panel HDTV company announced Jan. 7 that it will release a $200 Blu-ray Disc player in April. The company also will throw a $200 soundbar speaker and a $350 sub-woofer into the market at the same time.

“Our accessories line continues to expand with new components and add-ons to augment the home theater experience such as our … first Blu-ray player,” said Vizio co-founder Laynie Newsome.
