Sony and Amazon.com have announced the Optimum High-Definition Experience Sweepstakes, which will give away Blu-ray Discs, PlayStation 3 prizes and Blu-ray players through the Amazon Sony Hi-Def Store.

Participants can enter at www.amazon.com/sonyhighdef to win the grand prize of a Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray player, five Sony BMG Music Blu-ray Disc titles and 10 Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Blu-ray titles. Also awarded will be a first prize of a PS3 with a copy of PS3 games LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2; two second prizes of a Blu-ray Disc of The House Bunny autographed by Anna Faris and a Hancock Blu-ray Disc autographed by Will Smith; and ten third prizes of a Hancock Blu-ray.

The contest runs from Dec. 8 to Jan. 18, 2009. Winners will be announced by Feb. 1, 2009.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment spearheaded The Sony High-Def Store to highlight Sony high-definition hardware and software, as well as product bundles and promotions on products from Sony Electronics, Sony Computer Entertainment America, Sony BMG Music Entertainment and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
