Samsung Electronics Jan. 7 is expected to unveil a Blu-ray player just 39 millimeters thick the day before the start of the 2009 International CES show in Las Vegas.

The consumer electronics manufacturer reportedly will also showcase a 7mm thick HDTV, among other products.

Price and availability of the BD player and HDTV were not immediately available.
