'Dr. Strangelove' on Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 nuclear satire Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb to Blu-ray Disc June 16 (prebook May 14) at $38.96.

The 45th anniversary edition includes a 32-page booklet, behind-the-scenes documentaries, a Peter Sellers retrospective and interviews with Sellers and George C. Scott.

The disc also includes a “Cold War” function that includes a trivia track and a picture-in-picture commentary featuring interviews with Cold War experts who discuss the film’s accuracy.

Dr. Strangelove was nominated for four Oscars, including best picture, best director, best screenplay and best actor for Sellers.
