Consumer interest for Internet-enabled HDTVs is on the rise, according to a new report.
The Consumer Electronics Association said 48% of respondents in a survey said they are likely to purchase a Web-enabled television, with 44% saying they would use the Internet to find out more information about a movie, TV program or actor.
The study found that 30% of respondents actively surf the Web (another 32% occasionally) while watching TV. More than 62% said they would watch online videos, 59% would check for weather updates and 57% would play video games.
