Home Media Magazine will hold HD-3, its third annual high-definition conference, Nov. 11, 2008 in Los Angeles.
The one-day event marks the first Home Media high-definition conference since the end of the format war between Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. The focus of the conference will be studio Blu-ray plans for the fourth quarter of 2008.
The event will incorporate seminars and workshops on how Hollywood can manage the transition to Blu-ray Disc as well as on BD Live, and a consumer panel will highlight the consumer response to Blu-ray Disc. The show also may bear previews of studio announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, to be held Jan. 8-11, 2009.
Other highlights will include a research supersession with exclusive market research on software, hardware and consumer trends and habits. HD-3 will also include the High-Def Disc Awards, in which the best Blu-ray Disc titles released between Oct. 1, 2007 and Sept. 30, 2008, will be awarded, as chosen panel of critics.
HD-3 is produced by Home Media Magazine in cooperation with The Hollywood Reporter. Press registration is available to credentialed media and qualified consumers by contacting Kristina Kronenberg at email@example.com.
