20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and the studio’s “Million Moments: Great Moments, Great Causes Tour” are being honored by the city of Los Angeles for donating more than 200,000 DVDs to community organizations.
The donations benefited Los Angeles libraries, the Partnership for L.A. Schools, LAPD, LAFD, hospitals, veterans organizations, Boys and Girls Clubs, afterschool programs and others.
On Dec. 16th, L.A. city controller Wendy Greuel and councilmen Tom LaBonge and Eric Garcetti will honor 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and the studio’s philanthropic arm, Fox Gives, for the donations.
The next day Fox’s Million Moments van will be at the Kmart in Burbank, allowing movie fans to recreate their favorite scenes against a green screen. The “Million Moments: Great Moments, Great Causes” tour traveled to 18 cities throughout 14 weeks, donating DVDs to community groups along the way.
