Fonda Relaunches 'Workout' Brand17 Dec, 2010 By: Angelique Flores
“Mother of fitness video” Jane Fonda is bringing back her “Workout” fitness brand after almost 30 years.
Fonda and GoFit, a handheld fitness supplier, are re-launching the brand with four new DVDs Dec. 26, exclusively at Target stores.
The series of original workout DVDs star a team of young trainers handpicked by Fonda, and their release coincides with a line of fitness equipment.
“I want to give a new generation of fitness leaders a platform,” Fonda said on her blog. “All these women have their own brands, their own following and a great deal of expertise.”
Each DVD costs $12.99 and features a different kind of workout.
Daily Yoga is led by Tara Stiles. Sculpt & Tone features Kerena Dawn and Katrina Hodgson. Ultra Boot Camp has Jeanette Jenkins. And Fast Sculpt Abs features Hodgson, Dawn, Jenkins, Stiles and Kamala Mathis.
While Target has the brick-and-mortar exclusive, the titles also are available on Amazon.com.
“Workout” first launched in 1982 with a best-selling book and award-winning video, which also helped launch the home video industry.
