Vubiquity Acquires Some 'Juice'

31 Aug, 2015 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Vubiquity Aug. 31 announced the acquisition of Juice Worldwide, a Toronto-based digital content distribution company. The deal makes Vubiquity the first to license and deliver content through every media, including cable, satellite, telecom, wireless and OTT. Vubiquity’s network of content providers include iTunes, Netflix, Amazon and Google Play. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Leveraging Juice’s leading OTT and digital suite of services and its established presence in key international territories creates terrific value for our network of hundreds of content and service providers,” CEO Darcy Antonellis said in a statement.

Juice, which in April launched an online self-distribution platform for filmmakers, recently inked a deal with Wango Films’ independent film, 88.
