On-demand TV service start-up ZillionTV has signed a distribution agreement with Paramount Pictures, the company said Nov. 9, giving it agreements with all six major studios.

Recent titles, including The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Revolutionary Road and Iron Man, will be available for rental or purchase, while catalog titles such as In & Out and Ordinary People will be available as ad-supported VOD, meaning consumers will be able to watch them for no charge.

Currently in testing, ZillionTV is trying to partner with Internet Service Providers as it works toward a nationwide launch. Consumers pay a one-time fee of $99 for a thin ‘Z’ bar that fits on to a TV and brings content to the screen via the Internet. Consumers can choose between ad-supported, free content, rentals or purchases from more than 60 content partners.

ZillionTV is also in talks with consumer electronics companies in order to have its technology embedded in set-top boxes and HDTVs.
