RoxioNow Movie Downloads Headed to Zoran

Sonic Solutions April 26 said its RoxioNow movie-download software will be integrated into high-definition TV processors manufactured by Zoran Corp.

Previously called Roxio CinemaNow, the newly branded RoxioNow technology is incorporated in numerous third-party digital movie efforts, including Best Buy’s pending digital entertainment store, Blockbuster On Demand, PCs, connected TVs, set-top DVRs, Blu-ray Disc players, smartphones and other mobile media devices.

Zoran technology is incorporated into third-party digital televisions, set-top boxes, DVD players, digital cameras and multimedia mobile phones, among other products.

“Zoran HDTVs will now have streaming access to thousands of additional titles from the world’s leading movie studios and content providers,” said Ram Ofir, SVP and GM of the home entertainment division at Zoran.
