The U.S. government’s protracted transition to digital television will get an assist April 21 when the Federal Communications Commission unveils a newly enhanced consumer-friendly Web site (www.dtv.gov) at the National Association of Broadcasters confab in Las Vegas.
The revamped site will offer expedited consumer access to local DTV support and reception information in addition to answers to questions about DTV equipment needed and how to install it.
The site also has information for broadcasters, local government officials and businesses.
The official transition from over-the-air analog TV transmission to digital takes place June 12.
