Paramount Home Entertainment’s Sept. 30 DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of summer blockbuster Iron Man expanded to include digital files on select custom PCs from Dell.

Round Rock, Texas-based Dell is including the Robert Downey Jr. action film as a free preloaded digital file (valued at $20) through Oct. 9 on its Inspiron 1525 (listed at $649), XPS M1530 ($1,049), XPS 420 ($899) and XPS 630 ($1,299) laptops.

The movie, which includes bonus material found on the standard DVD, is available in Windows Media format and can be viewed on the computer screen or TV equipped with a separate Windows media extenders, including Xbox 360 or Slingbox.

Dell mandates consumers acknowledge “content terms of use” that specifically preclude them from making any use of the content that would “infringe any copyright.”

The PC manufacturer last week bowed a series of laptops outfitted with “home entertainment enhancers,” including a Blu-ray Disc player; TV tuner to watch, stop and rewind live TV; and HDMI port to listen to MP3 music files and stream Web-based TV programming.
