Launching exclusively on the iTunes store before it streets on DVD Jan. 27, Disinformation Company’s 2012: Science or Superstition grabbed the top spot as iTunes’ No. 1 selling documentary, the company announced.
The documentary interviews authors, scholars, historians, archaeologists, astronomers and other experts about the significance of 2012 as the end date for the Mayan calendar, and whether the Mayans believed it would mark the end of the world.
Numerous other documentaries and a Sony Pictures feature film set for later this year have been made regarding the Mayan prophecies.
