Lori MacPherson, EVP, global product management
The home entertainment product lifecycle of Disney products — including Pixar, Marvel and DreamWorks — falls under MacPherson. And that means digital, too. She focuses on expanding the studios’ portfolio of brands, franchises and characters on new platforms and devices, with an emphasis on mobile technology and direct-to-consumer distribution. MacPherson has overseen the successful launch of second-screen applications, the creation of new sources of revenue within the digital distribution space, and led the business development of Disney Studio All Access and the international Disney Mobile Movies service. She helped lead Disney into combo packs, Disney Digital Copy and Disney Video Premiere.
Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic TV
Marinelli oversees a unit that provides film and TV content from Disney, Disney·Pixar, Marvel, DreamWorks Studios, ABC Studios, ABC Entertainment, ABC Family and Disney Channel to traditional and new media platforms. She handles distribution and licensing of titles, including all digital platforms. Marinelli is also charged with spearheading the company’s growing EST and VOD businesses, and negotiating movie output deals with a range of distributors and platforms, including cable, satellite TV, telcos, iTunes, Xbox and PlayStation. She also helped see Disney-ABC Domestic TV content sold to EST outlets. Her division recently extended a licensing deal with Netflix and oversaw a streaming deal with Amazon.
Jason Brenek, SVP, international in-home sales
Brenek leads the international in-home sales organization for films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and DreamWorks Studios. Working with Disney’s local, regional and international sales teams, his responsibilities cover all windows, channels, and business models for physical and digital formats, covering retail, TV and new media, and online channels of distribution. His team collaborates with the studios’ other groups outside North America, introducing new products across all channels of distribution. His teams are credited with driving revenue growth of Disney’s EST and VOD products, as well as creating partnerships with the international units of Hulu, Google and YouTube, YOUOnDemand, Netflix and more.
