TMSS Provides 24/7 Access to Content Via Web Portal
Prior to the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas April 11 to 14, Technicolor launched a new cloud-based media storage service, offering content owners and distributors a new way to store their media.
Technicolor Media Storage Service, or TMSS, designed and managed with the help of online data management company NetApp, provides pay-as-you-go pricing for access to content, allowing for 24-hour access to files via a Web portal.
“Technicolor has long been trusted to preserve and protect the valued assets of its content-owner customers, and we are pleased to continually establish new services such as TMSS to support our customers through the digital transition,” Technicolor spokesman Chuck Parker said.
Content owners, aggregators and distributors who use the service can retrieve content in multiple formats, all of which are protected under Technicolor’s digital content management platform, MediAffinity.
“This new partnership combines Technicolor’s deep media industry experience with NetApp’s leading storage and data management capabilities to offer cloud solutions designed specifically to address media industry challenges,” said Julie Parrish, VP of global channel sales for NetApp.
