31 May, 2011 By: Chris Tribbey

Place-shifting set-top company Slingbox said May 31 it plans on offering a beta program for the Slingbox Solo and Slingbox PRO-HD that will allow Google TV owners to watch their content anywhere.

“Slingbox has always made it easy to watch your TV around the house, around town or even around the world — on laptops, mobile phones or tablets,” the company said in a blog post. “The SlingPlayer for Connected Devices Beta is coming for Google TV. Soon you will be able to extend your complete living room HDTV experience to any TV around your home, or another TV in any location where you have an Internet connection.”

Slingbox owners can sign up on the company’s website to be notified when the beta program will be available.
