‘Home Media’ Joins Forces for Blu-Con 2.0

In lieu of its annual Home Entertainment Summit, Home Media Magazine this year is joining forces with DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group to present Blu-Con 2.0. Nov. 3 in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
 
Home Media also is partnering with three other trade publications to promote the event: Variety, Dealerscope and Video Business.

Blu-Con, which is expected to attract 300 attendees, will bring together creative, marketing and business executives from across the entertainment and electronics industries to underscore why Blu-ray Disc is the key driver in home entertainment.

Filmmaker Martin Scorsese, Merrill Lynch media and entertainment analyst Jessica Reif Cohen, and Best Buy EVP of customer operations groups Mike Vitelli will give keynote presentations at the event.

“Given the wide variety of presentations and experts involved, we’re confident that Blu-Con 2.0 will underscore the critical role that Blu-ray plays in providing nothing less than the most compelling entertainment experience possible,” said Ron Sanders, president, Warner Home Video and president, DEG.

Sessions will cover BD Live and digital copy, among other features expected to drive sales this fall.
