HBO Now Subscribers Can Win VIP 'Game of Thrones' Comic-Con Experience

Fans of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” will once again have the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Westeros at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con International.

The fan event will be held at the Omni Hotel from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 9, to Saturday, July 11, and 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, July 12.

Upon arrival, fans will have their portrait taken as they step in front of a 10-foot projection screen and use a wooden sword to strike targets to create an image that is sharable via social networks as well as #ExperienceTheRealm.

Fans can also create sharable animated GIFs including being incinerated into ash by a dragon and turned into an undead White Walker.

In addition, there will be photo opportunities with the Iron Throne, a giant sword, costume displays and artwork.

While fans who attend are likely to encounter long lines to enter the attraction, current and former HBO Now subscribers will have a chance to win early access with a VIP preview during special periods Thursday through Sunday.
