The 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show drew more than 140,000 attendees, including a record 30,000-plus from overseas, according to the Consumer Electronics Association.

The event saw 22 top CEOs take part in keynote presentations and more than 2,700 technology companies show off their wares.

“The 2011 International CES was a phenomenal worldwide event that spanned global industries, including technology, automotive and entertainment markets,” said CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro. “This global technology gathering featured more innovation, more news, more social media buzz and more international attendance than any other show in CES history.”

Tablets, Internet-connected devices and 3DTVs were among the top newsmakers at the conference. Autostereoscopic 3DTVs and the move from active-shutter glasses to passive glasses also attracted the entertainment industry’s attention.
