Dish Subscribers Get Live Stream of ‘Walking Dead’ From AMC

28 Sep, 2012 By: Chris Tribbey

In response to Dish Network dropping the AMC channel — along with sister channels IFC, WE tv and Sundance Channel — AMC is offering Dish subscribers a live stream of “The Walking Dead” season-three premiere Oct. 14 at amctv.com.

Dish subscribers can register at amctv.com/thewalkingdead4dish.

“Dish has decided to deny their customers access to AMC shows including ‘The Walking Dead,’ the series that has shattered basic cable ratings records,” AMC said in a statement. “Although ‘The Walking Dead’ is the No. 1 basic cable scripted drama for Dish customers, Dish has stated it has no plans to bring back AMC.”

AMC is pairing the season three premiere with bonus features, including “Inside The Walking Dead” videos, episode previews, “Talked About Scenes,” bonus scenes, production interviews, photo galleries, trivia and behind-the scenes videos, at its website.

Anchor Bay released the second season of “The Walking Dead” on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in late August.
